*After months of trying to get Jay-Z in for questioning in its case against Iconix Brand Group, the Securities and Exchange Commission finally got what it wanted this week.
According to multiple reports, spent a long afternoon at the agency’s New York offices answering questions from investigators as part of their probe of the Iconix Brand Group, which bought assets of Jay-Z’s Rocawear apparel brand in 2007.
As previously reported, the SEC got court assistance in getting Jay-Z to answer questions in the matter. A federal judge ordered him to give a deposition last week.
Lawyers for Jay-Z, who also goes by his birth name, Shawn Carter, had said they didn’t believe he had any relevant information to share with SEC investigators.
