Kanye West factioned his fan base earlier this year when he opened up about his support for Donald Trump and became friends with ring-wing pundit Candace Owens. Many of his fans were ready to leave the Kanye lover’s camp, especially after the release of ”Ye” which is undeniably the worst album he’s released in his career. While it’s unsure if there’s a direct connection between his political stance and his music, it sure came across in that regard. However, the rapper finally came to his senses earlier today when he announced that he realized he was becoming a political pawn. He told TMZ that he was speaking on Candace Owens’ “Blexit” campaign and didn’t mention any thing about Donald Trump, but he did say that he’ll be distancing himself from politics altogether.
The rapper tweeted : “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative !!!”
