After setting an enviable record of being the first Afro-Beat artiste to solely put on sale a show at the prestigious O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom, Davido is gearing up for yet another ground breaking record.
The singer who is currently on a radio tour in the united states revealed to DJ Self & DJ Norie on Power 105.1 FM that he is about to book the 20,789 capacity Madison Square Gardens in New York  for a show. He revealed that he planned on doing the show in November of this year but due to some logistical reasons, he would be pushing it to February, 2020.
Davido said, “The plan is to erm… we’re about to book the MSG and we went there two days ago. So right now we’re planning on how to strategize, how we gon get all dem people in there, how we gon sell tickets. All Africans are gon fly in and we gon prove dem wrong.”
Davido then went on to reveal when the show will take place,. He said “I was actually planning to do it November, if the planning is right and besides, i knew other opportunities would come, so i pushed it to February next year.”
Madison Square Gardens has a capacity of 20,789 and if this eventually happens, this would make Davido the first African artiste to put on sale a show at the prestigious music arena in New York.
