Ex-Governor Of Ogun State, Sen Ibikunle Amosun has been accused of secretly stockpiling arms and ammunition during his reign as Governor of Ogun State.

Reports had it that Amosun acquired the weapons shortly before 2019 elections.
After the election, Amosun Secretly contacted the Ogun State Commissioner of PoliceBashir Makama to confess that he had loads of ammunition in stock at Government house
The weapons surrendered by Amosun include;
đŸ‘‰ At least four million rounds of ammunition
đŸ‘‰ 1,000 units of AK47 rifles
đŸ‘‰ 1,000 units of bulletproof vests 
đŸ‘‰ An Armoured Personnel Carrier.
In the constitution, civilian governors are not allowed to buy weapons without clearance from the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA)
In Nigeria’s Fireams act, individuals or civilian institutions are not allowed to operate armouriesor own fireams.
Even the police and other security operatives are still wondering how Amosun was able to compiled these weapons without being caught.
